Jane Downey, M.Ed, ARM, President of Clarity Concepts, Inc. is a well-known risk management consultant, leadership trainer and frequent public speaker. She is a management consultant who provides risk consulting, insurance broker management, outsourced risk management as well as leadership and team training. Many of her leadership clients work in risk management and insurance.
Ms. Downey’s corporate experience includes risk management positions with IU International, PaineWebber Group, Inc., and The West Company. She worked as an Account Executive in insurance brokerage with the Hobbs Group. She has served as adjunct faculty at Temple University in Risk Management and at Penn State’s Graduate School in Crisis Management. She served as a board member of the Delaware Valley Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS). Ms. Downey has served as Chair of the Speakers Bureau and Co-Treasurer for the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners. She is a long-time member of this organization’s Education Committee. Ms. Downey is a founding member of the Delaware Valley fundraising committee for the Spencer Risk Management Educational Foundation. Ms. Downey holds the Associate in Risk Management designation. She was licensed as an insurance broker in New York State and as a non-resident in Pennsylvania. Ms. Downey has completed and submitted all of the requirements for the Pennsylvania resident Property and Casualty brokers license and her application is pending. |
