Ginger has counseled employers since 1983. She practiced law with Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker in its national employment law group for six years. Ginger then served as Assistant General Counsel for Turner Broadcasting System in Atlanta, advising the company's varied businesses on the whole variety of employment issues, conducting harassment investigations, and preparing policies and procedures for the businesses. She also served as Human Resources Director at Turner Broadcasting, coordinating work-life programs and in that capacity, supervised the development and opening of the company's child care center.
Prior to joining EPS, Ginger served as Managing Attorney for Southern Company, a large electric utility based in Atlanta. There, she added employee benefits expertise, while continuing to provide counsel on the wide range of employment issues. She supported the company's internal complaint program by providing legal advice and conducting investigations. She also was a frequent and effective trainer on a variety of subjects.
As an EPS consultant, Ginger has continued to conduct training covering a variety of subjects such as prevention of discrimination and harassment, diversity, conflict resolution and management-employee relations to a wide variety of clients. She also provides sensitivity training and coaching for individual employees. Ginger investigates and reports on complaints relating to workplace harassment, discrimination, retaliation and other employee misconduct. She also testifies as an expert witness on employment-related issues and is a frequent author of articles on employment issues and employee benefits. |

Designated August 2001; report rendered September 2001. Sexual harassment and retaliation. Reviewed response of company to conduct by manager and preventive and corrective actions. |
Project 2
Alcatel USA, Inc. v. Cisco Systems, Inc., C.A. No. 4:00CV199, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, on behalf of Plaintiff. Report submitted April 14, 2002 on the issue of an individual’s status as an employee versus independent contractor. Report (as well as those of other rebuttal experts for plaintiff) excluded under Court’s ruling that information on rebuttal experts was not submitted timely by plaintiff. Plaintiff has moved for reconsideration of this ruling and the motion is pending. |

Jessica Sanders and Polly Sanders v. Timothy Paul Crane, Rollins, Inc., Donald Boswell, and Orkin Exterminating Company, C.A. No. 00-C-2994-1, in the State Court of Gwinnett County, Georgia, on behalf of Plaintiffs. Deposed and testified at trial in July, 2002 on the issues of negligent hiring and retention and company policies and procedures related thereto. Case was settled before it was submitted to the jury. |
