Defense expert on police records systems and CA statutory requirements for backgrounds of persons providing services to minors. Family Services Agency of San Francisco (FSASF) coordinates volunteers as part of a Federal Grant for a Grand Parenting program. Ms Jane Doe, a minor child, claims that a volunteer, Edward Randleston, had abused her by fondling her in 2004 at a licensed child day care center operated Visitation Valley Community Center (VVCC). Defense jury verdict. |

Marlita Thomas (Mother) Norman L. Smith, Jr. V. Sheriff of Cook County, Il., et. al. U.S.D.C. No. District Illinois, No. 04 C3563, Deposition August 7, 2006 Plaintiff's jail procedures expert. Mr. Norman L. Smith was booked in to Cook County, Il. jail system 4/24/04 for possession and sale of suspected cocaine. The medical examiner's report indicates Mr. Smith had several medical complications over the next six (6) days. On April 30, 2004 Mr. Smith was found convulsing and non- responsive in Cell L1, Unit M-1, of Cook County Jail Division 5. Medical examiner, report states a time of death as 0540 hours April 30, 2004 at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Chicago, Illinois from complications of meningitis. $1.6M jury award. |
